Back in 1999, Suzanne Waring was a mum of twin boys and working at Lancashire Constabulary when she decided to set up her own cleaning company. That was the start of The Helping Hands Group and she’s still doing it today. There are four divisions to Helping Hands Group, employing 40 staff and a turnover of £1.3m. Waring has completely bootstrapped the business and is a force of nature.
