The Thinking Pod innovations is transforming electronics for sustainable transport and energy systems.
It partnered with ITT and the University of Nottingham to develop the technology at the heart of the VIDAR electric smart motor, which adjusts its speed in response to changing workload, lowering energy usage and CO2 emissions.
The first of its kind, the VIDAR motor drives pumps and fans in industrial settings. In installations at industrial facilities, VIDAR has lowered energy usage by half, reduced costs and increased the lifespan of equipment.
