Listed HealthTech Induction Healthcare Group has appointed a chief financial officer.

Guy Mitchell, who has spent the last 10 years specialising in high-growth, investor-backed software companies, joins the virtual care platform with immediate effect.

Mitchell joins from Oxehealth, a global SaaS medical software firm supplying mental health trusts and care homes with niche solutions, where he served as interim CFO.

Since 2015 he has held CFO roles at six further companies: he led GFI Max through a significant growth period of £5m to £75m annual recurring revenue in just over three years, while he was interim CFO at AIM-listed FreeAgent, a SaaS-based accounting software company.

A qualified accountant and chartered tax adviser, he has overseen the acquisition and integration of five companies from different global locations including the UK, Armenia, the Netherlands and the US, and raised over £10m of VC and private equity investment.

Olly Drake, Induction’s interim CFO, is leaving the company in order to pursue other opportunities.

“Guy is a great addition to the Induction board, and I would like to welcome him to the team,” said CEO James Balmain.

“The company is going from strength to strength and Guy’s extensive experience in SaaS companies as well as knowledge of AIM and high growth companies will prove highly beneficial to Induction as we continue to build on our successes.

“I would like to thank Olly for his support and hard work, especially during the acquisition of Attend Anywhere. Olly has been an invaluable member of the Induction management team and I wish him every success in his future pursuits.”

Mitchell added: “I am delighted to be joining Induction during an incredibly dynamic time for the company.

“The company’s recent announcement of the first major contract outside of the healthcare space indicates the diversity of Induction’s products and I look forward to working with James as we continue to build on this strong sales momentum and drive growth for the company.”
