Article update: The location of JLR’s new tech base in Manchester has now been revealed.
Jaguar Land Rover’s new software, IT and engineering centre will be based at Bruntwood’s Neo building in Manchester city centre, it has been revealed.
The company has agreed to take almost 10,000 sq ft on the 10th and 11th floors of the building.
The 12-storey building, which was launched early last year after a multimillion-pound redevelopment and is also home to Microsoft, is now fully let.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jaguar Land Rover to Neo,” said Bruntwood’s Bradley Topps.
“As an innovative technology business with high aspirations for growth they are perfectly suited to a place, purposely-designed to inspire creative thinking and collaborative working.”
JLR announced its plans for the new centre earlier this week, and said it was looking to hire a small team of IT specialists, software engineers and developers to help create the next generation of vehicle software.
The team will pioneer new software technology to help create the next generation of future connected car technologies.
