Hambro Perks has announced today its appointment of Sir Anthony Salz as the chairman of its advisory board.
The venture firm backs and builds leading British technology companies with global ambitions.
Salz’s role at the firm will see him leading an advisory board focused on counselling the firm’s leadership through its next phase of growth.
After early success at Freshfields, Salz served as a senior partner until 2006. He then joined Rothschild as executive vice chairman and has experience doing deals in sectors ranging from pharmaceuticals to media and oil.
Notable among them are Astra’s merger with Zeneca and the privatisation of BP.
He remains a trustee of the Tate Foundation, the Eden Project, the Paul Hamlyn Foundation and the Royal Opera House. He is also a director of the Scott Trust.
Sir Anthony also held the position of vice chairman of British Broadcasting Corporation from August 2004 to 2006. Providing legal advice as well as consulting on corporate governance, he also chaired the BBC remuneration committee.
