Information Risk Management (IRM) has announced the appointment of Matt Griffiths as its sales director.
Griffiths brings to the Cheltenham-based firm information security experience from several years leading Information Security at Virgin Trains.
More recently, Griffiths spent five years at McLaren Applied Technologies as a business development director, where he helped develop its non-motorsport customer base.
The appointment comes as previous sales director, Sean Arrowsmith leaves the business to take on a new senior role at Crossword Cybersecurity.
Charles White, CEO of IRM said of the appointment: “Matt’s experience firstly, as an information security practitioner and secondly, as a thought leader for practical IoT and industrial connectivity, gives him a unique understanding of the challenges and opportunities our customers face.”
Griffiths adds: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining one of the leading cybersecurity organisations and look forward to working with the account management team to meet IRM’s broad range of clients, enabling me to understand and support their objectives for 2020 and beyond”.
The new appointment forms part of the company’s progression towards operational technology security. The consultancy is expanding into geographies including Spain, Italy, the Nordics, and the US.
The upcoming proposed acquisition of the firm’s owner Altran, by Capgemini, is set to place IRM within the world’s leading engineering and research and development company.
