Software engineering company Codethink has signed a 10-year lease on a new office in a significant deal for Manchester’s Northern Quarter.

Founded in 2007, the company will take up the third and fourth floors of the Grade II listed building at 35 Dale Street.

The move is said to be the biggest property deal in the Northern Quarter since 2015.

The site was acquired by Helical PLC in May 2015 with Codethink’s taking up an office space totalling 15,089 square feet following their move from Ducie Street in the city centre.

“35 Dale Street is the perfect building for Codethink – it supports our growing team and provides fantastic infrastructure facilities,” said Codethink CEO Paul Sherwood.

“We want to be in a place which reflects our company culture in the heart of the Northern Quarter.”

The space will include a working area, remodelled communal areas and boutique reception area.

“We’re delighted to have Codethink join us at 35 Dale Street,” said Helical asset management executive Will Parry.

“More and more businesses are seeking a higher standard in the quality of their workspace within the Northern Quarter and 35 Dale Street is perfectly placed to meet their requirements.”
