Stephen Turner founded Chorley-based Group 55 in 1999 at the age of 25 with just £700 and has grown it, with no external investment, to the point it now has a projected turnover of £21+m in the current year. Group55 is a private label personal care, pet care and home care product manufacturer and employs c.140 people. As the business continues to grow, Turner has opened a dedicated office in Manchester’s Ancoats, home to Group 55’s brand development arm Futures. Turner has overseen the company’s move from three sites into one super building in Chorley. Group55 is now a B Corp.
