Sam’s Social Media Club, the world’s biggest social media-first employment platform, has announced that Dominic McGregor, co-founder of global social media agency Social Chain, has joined the business as an investor and partner.

Founded by Sam Wilmot and headquartered in Sheffield, Sam’s Social Media Club has grown from its South Yorkshire roots into the go-to destination for digital talent and hiring globally.

It now has more than 500,000 followers across social media and a reputation for connecting high-quality candidates with leading brands including BAFTA, the NHS and Jamie Oliver Group.

The platform covers careers across social media, content, influencer marketing, digital marketing, brand, communications and beyond.

McGregor and Steven Bartlett grew Social Chain from a bedroom into one of the world’s most recognised social media companies before its public listing.

He brings not only capital but direct operational experience of scaling social-first businesses, alongside his current work at Fearless Adventures and advisory roles across the UK tech and media ecosystem.

McGregor said: “Social media is still one of the most misunderstood hiring markets in the world. Generalist job boards don’t get it. Sam’s does.

“The community they’ve built is genuinely differentiated and this is exactly the kind of focused, high-quality platform that the industry needs more of.”

Tech bro culture and a very public spat

The partnership will focus on accelerating the platform’s growth, expanding its employer network and deepening its position as the definitive career hub for digital professionals globally.
