Name: Dan Miller
Job description: Founder of Young Professionals UK
From: Richmond, London
His story: Miller has been the sensible one throughout the show. He might not have the loudest voice, but his observations are astute and based on genuine business acumen. He doesn’t descend to trash talk and has often felt like the only grown-up in the room. Miller was 17 when he started his business from his bedroom in Derby. While other candidates have big followings on Instagram and TikTok, there’s something reassuring in the fact that he has 34,659 followers on LinkedIn.
Business plan: He’s the owner of an established student recruitment company called Young Professionals UK, which connects students from across the UK and Ireland with work experience, mentoring, apprenticeships and job opportunities with some of the world’s biggest organisations. He wants Lord Sugar’s mentorship over the investment. “I felt this was the right time to seek the guidance and support of someone who’s seen it all and has had greater business experience to help me make the right decisions,” he said.
The Apprentice highlight: Miller was the successful project manager in task three, in which the teams had to turn food ingredients into profit. He always seems calm and never appears to have a hair out of place.
In his own words: “I think a few things people would describe me as are: full of life; my blue sky and entrepreneurial thinking and that I always see the best in people. My whole brand and business has been built around community, giving back and opportunity.”
Chances of winning: The rock-solid favourite if Lord Sugar goes with his head, as he’s the most investable. His biggest threat is Karishma Vijay.
