Name: Priyesh Bathia

From: Harrow, London

Job description: Global account manager

His story: Priyesh Bathia stepped away from his corporate career to ‘swap spreadsheets for mixology’. He describes himself as the chief drink officer of Sipologist, a mobile cocktail bar business, and wants to scale it into a national brand.

The Apprentice highlight: He was the successful project manager in task six, which saw the candidates head to Egypt to put on a corporate away day. He said: “Something went wrong during service, and instead of deflecting it, I took accountability and addressed it directly with the clients.”

In his own words: “I’m the perfect mix of charm and hustle who’s confident, quick-thinking, and not afraid to get stuck in. I bring ideas, energy and a bit of cheek, which means I don’t just talk the talk, I make things happen.”

Chances of winning: The big outsider has attracted quite a lot of hate on social media. Lord Sugar seemed as surprised as anyone when Bathia made it through to the last five. “How you made it I do not know,” he said. “You’re a lucky charm, you really are.”
