London-based Insurwave has named Adrian Morgan as its new CEO as it looks to scale its platform and strengthen its position as a leader in real-time risk insights for the specialty insurance market.

The company’s new head has more than 20 years of experience at the intersection of insurance and technology.

His career has included leadership positions as CEO of Mission Underwriters, executive vice president and global head of AdvantageGo at Coforge, and head of insurance software at DXC (formerly Xchanging).

He joins the business, which has built a platform for AI-driven exposure management, bringing expertise in driving digital transformation across insurers and brokers, scaling platforms and delivering innovative solutions.

“The future of specialty insurance isn’t just about collecting data – it’s about making complex decisions with confidence,” said Morgan.

“At Insurwave, AI and real-time insights give insurers, brokers and corporates a complete view of their exposures, enabling them to act faster and smarter.

“Today, our platform tracks over 100,000 global and commercial aviation fleet assets in real time, monitors 100+ activities daily, and manages more than $2.5 trillion in insured value, but the real opportunity lies ahead.

“With the market demanding more from exposure management in an increasingly interconnected world, we have the potential to scale dramatically, helping clients transform complex data into smarter, more impactful decisions that shape the future direction of insurance.”

Dragons’ Den returns on Thursday – who is pitching this week?

The company, which placed 7th on BusinessCloud’s most recent InsurTech 50 ranking, says its platform is already widely used to track global commercial aviation fleets and manage trillions of dollars in insured value.

It is also expecting demand to accelerate as insurers and corporates seek more sophisticated AI-driven solutions to navigate complex risks.

Shaun Crawford, chairman of Insurwave, added: “Thinking big is part of our DNA at Insurwave.

“Behind our transformative AI-driven platform is an incredibly talented team of specialists who combine deep insurance expertise with cutting-edge technology.

“Powered by this expertise, we can deliver real-time insights that help clients make smarter, faster decisions.

“With Adrian leading the company, we are now poised to scale further and continue shaping the future of specialty insurance globally, powered by our people, our culture, and our technology.”
