BusinessCloud is celebrating another record-breaking month in June – to complete a stellar first half of 2025.

The standout statistic was the 76.4k unique users to our website – an increase of 140 per cent from the 31.9k visitors in June 2024.

It brings the total number of website visitors during this year to 443,000 as BusinessCloud closes in on its target to hit one million unique users in 2025 – more than double 2024’s figure.

June also saw the launch of our new Northern Leaders podcast, with the first three big interviews with Nazir Afzal OBE, Apadmi CEO Garry Partington and Matillion boss Matthew Scullion.

Last month saw BusinessCloud host three events, including its latest Northern Leaders event in Leeds.

Dragons’ Den star Lucie Macleod and The Apprentice candidate Keir Shave were among 16 speakers at the event – entitled Northern Leaders: Meet the New Generation of Entrepreneur (NGE) – hosted in the offices of  KPMG.

Are T Levels the answer to the skills gap?

We also partnered with GM Business Growth Hub to host two roundtables, including one about how Greater Manchester is using apprenticeships, T Levels and the Baccalaureate to tackle the skills gaps.

BusinessCloud editor Jonathan Symcox said: “They say variety is the spice of life and that was certainly true for June with the launch of our Northern Leaders podcast, a mix of events and the voting for BusinessCloud’s HealthTech 50 innovation ranking.

“We continued to attract record website traffic with June’s figure of 76.4k visitors being a 140 per cent increase on the same month last year.

Nazir Afzal: ‘Why I won’t be silenced’

“At the halfway point of 2025 we’re on track to hit our target of one million unique users for the year – more than double the 2024 figure.

“What’s most satisfying is that instead of one amazing single story skewing the figures, we’ve produced big several stories that have really moved the dial.

“Our best performing story was a controversial viral advertising campaign in London by Silicon Valley-based AI employee startup Artisan AI urging people to stop hiring humans.

“This was followed by our exclusive about the war of words between ex-NCC CEO Rob Cotton and THG CEO Matt Moulding, which ended up in The Times.”

Rochdale-based BusinessCloud is co-owned by Symcox and executive editor Chris Maguire. The pair were joined by tech reporter Patrick Killeen in January.
