Healthcare operations software provider Agilio Software has appointed Dr Ben Betts as its new CEO following a period of rapid growth.
Betts succeeds previous CEO Neil Laycock, who will continue with the business in a strategic role to drive further mergers and acquisitions.
He previously served as CEO of workplace digital learning provider Learning Pool, where he spearheaded the company’s growth, building a presence in multiple countries and scaling the business to over 450 employees.
During his tenure, Betts led strategic M&A initiatives, drove innovation, and significantly scaled internal operations, cementing Learning Pool’s position as a market leader in the learning technology sector.
The appointment comes during a prolific period for the Devon-based firm, which has completed five acquisitions in the last 12 months.
The company aims to save healthcare professionals time through digitisation and is now looking to expand its market presence and enhance its product offerings.
“I am excited to join Agilio Software and lead the business through its next stage of growth and innovation,” said Betts.
“It’s my privilege to take over a world-class team and continue building on Agilio’s impressive foundation.
“Together, we’ll focus on driving organic growth, pursuing strategic acquisitions, and continuing to expand and integrate our product suite to better serve the needs of our customers.”
Dr Sati Sian, chairman of Agilio Software, added: “The board is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Ben Betts as Chief Executive Officer of Agilio Software.
“His impressive track record of scaling businesses, coupled with his deep expertise in learning technologies and developing high-performance teams, makes him the ideal leader to guide Agilio through its next phase of growth.
“As we continue to expand our market presence and enhance our product offerings, with five acquisitions completed in the past 12 months, Ben’s strategic leadership will be instrumental in delivering on our ambitious goals.”
