Appointments

Transport management services provider Transport2 has appointed Godfrey Ryan as CEO.

Ryan brings two decades of experience across senior commercial roles, having worked in high-growth, technology-based businesses and multinational organisations in the air transport, telecoms and legal sectors.

He was previously worked at UK company Waviatech as it evolved from a start-up when he joined the business in 2005, to its acquisition by AerData B.V. in 2010 and subsequent acquisition by Boeing in 2014.

Transport2 has spent the past year expanding its service offering, launching home-to-school solution Kura, which allows parents to track their child’s journey to and from school. It also reports it has doubled its customer-base in the past year.

Commenting on his appointment, Ryan said: “As an employer, and parent, I can relate strongly to Transport2’s mission to create safer, greener shared transport for workplaces and schools.

“The safeguarding of our children and employee well-being in a Covid and post-Covid world makes safe, secure transport more vital than ever. Transport2’s expertise, technology and infrastructure are well positioned to meet these needs and create new opportunities for our operator partners as they recover from lockdown.”

Andrew Hall, Chairman at Transport2, said: “Godfrey’s appointment is a huge milestone in the ongoing evolution of Transport2 as we grow across the education and corporate sectors. We’re extremely excited to welcome Godfrey on board and look forward to working together to help the business achieve and surpass its tremendous potential.”
