Doctor Care Anywhere has expanded its clinical team to include Advanced Clinical Practitioners alongside GPs.

The firm, star of our HealthTech 50 ranking, is one of the UK’s largest private providers of telehealth services, offering 24/7 online appointments via video and phone.

Patients can conveniently receive expert advice, treatment, private referrals, and prescriptions from highly qualified professionals.

Expanding its workforce to include ACPs enhances its capacity to serve a larger number of patients and strengthen the breadth of consultations it can offer.

ACPs can take a patient’s full medical history, carry out assessments and examinations, make a diagnosis and carry out treatment. This includes the prescribing of medicines, making plans for follow-up treatment and referring patients where appropriate.

“This expansion also presents an opportunity to refine our clinical resource allocation,” the firm stated. “By ensuring that the right resources are available at the right time, we can more effectively support a greater number of patients when they seek care, ultimately enhancing our platform’s capabilities and positioning us to meet the growing demand for accessible and efficient healthcare services.

“Incorporating ACPs represents a strategic evolution of our platform, enhancing our capabilities and positioning us to better meet the growing demand for accessible and efficient healthcare services.”
