A global tech business with a fast-growing Sunderland office has added ten new technical roles to its team, having seen the scope of one of its major accounts extended.
Saggezza, which develops technology solutions for clients around the world, has added to its number with ten developers, who will work as part of a dedicated new team providing support to a global investment bank.
The company, headquartered in the US with two additional offices in India, has taken on the cohort of java developers to allow it to deliver on a specific long-term project for its client, and if it proves a success, more specialist teams could be recruited to work in a similar way.
Martin Williams, UK managing director, is aiming to double the company’s headcount over the next year.
“Part of Saggezza’s ethos is to become an extension of our clients’ team, ramping up our support to deliver against their projects,” he said.
“It’s hugely rewarding when clients come to us with an additional tech requirement, because it proves how highly they value our work and so it’s key that we are able to meet their needs.
“We pride ourselves on assembling the best possible teams, so it can be a challenge to find the right people, but we are determined, and we have managed to create a really strong group of ten, who we know will perform exceptionally for this client.
The new team will start work on the project over the next few weeks, with the support of the existing Saggezza team to ensure they are able to get off to the best possible start
The company, which opened its Sunderland office in 2014, has seen business boom in recent months, allowing it to recruit a number of graduates earlier this year, to support its continued development.
As well as its growth in the UK, Saggezza has expanded its footprint in the US, with the acquisition of Omni, an employee-owned technology consulting company.
Their consulting team is comprised of experts in IT strategy, business process management, business intelligence and software development and will complement Saggezza by servicing mid-market clients in the Midwest.
