AS Roma has become the first in the country to launch a weekly Snapchat show after signing a deal with the social media platform.
The Serie A club has launched an innovative content partnership with Snapchat to create the show, which airs weekly on its Discover page.
“We are happy to have signed this agreement with one of the biggest social platforms in the world,” said chief revenue officer Francesco Calvo.
“With this partnership, we have access to new tools that will allow us to deliver even more Roma content to our fans all over the world through the Snapchat platform.”
Since launching its official Snapchat account in 2015, Roma has embraced the platform, utilising its creative tools, such as Lenses and Filters, and becoming the first Italian club to use Snapchat Spectacles in 2017 to capture the players’ perspective.
Supporters can now enjoy bespoke, innovative content that uses the platform’s mobile-first approach to bring fans closer than ever to the team, including: exclusive player challenges, optimised individual highlight reels and exciting fan content.
Roma will also have a dedicated profile page where Snapchatters can access all available episodes to watch. Roma joins other top European football clubs in creating weekly Shows for Snapchat.
