Media technology platform Bright Network has closed an investment round of £2.5 million led by Maven Capital Partners.
Founded by James Uffindell, Bright Network is a free-to-join platform that helps employers including the likes of Goldman Sachs, Sky and Dyson reach, find and recruit graduates and young professionals.
The network uses data analytics and technology to ensure employers and rising talent make the right decisions.
Maven Capital Partners led the funding round with £2.15 million and were joined by existing and new angel shareholders.
The funding will allow the business to invest in sales and marketing and also launch a new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) service for the larger SME and high-growth start-up market.
“The expertise they will bring to Bright Network will be transformative, while this investment will allow us to expand our reach and help even more students to secure internships and graduate roles with the world’s leading employers,” said CEO James Uffindell.
Melanie Goward, investment director at Maven, added: “The highly driven management team, led by James Uffindell, who has proven experience delivering shareholder value by exiting similar businesses in the sector, has developed a clear strategy to grow the business profitability through its existing and new product lines.
“In High Growth, James has identified a gap in the SME graduate recruitment market focused on helping employers easily recognise and reach the brightest graduates and young professionals and we looking forward to working with him and the team over the coming months and years.”
Since its launch in 2013, Bright Network claims to have facilitated over 10,000 successful hires.
The company’s client base includes over 250 employers, such as global blue-chip organisations such as Bloomberg, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, PwC, P&G SkyScanner and Vodafone.
