Mobile virtual network operator Lyca Group, owner of Lycamobile, has promoted its COO to Group CEO as it continues its international expansion.
Navanit Narayan has over 30 years’ experience supporting the growth of businesses across a variety of sectors, including manufacturing, consulting, and IT.
Prior to joining Lycamobile, he worked at major global telecoms brands including as a Director at Nokia, and as Chief Service Delivery Officer at Idea Cellular. He most recently held the position of Chief Strategy Officer and Operations Director at Vodafone Idea following the merger between the two companies.
Since joining Lycamobile in October 2020, the firm says Narayan has installed strong local leadership teams in foreign markets and spearheaded the digital transformation of the national business.
His appointment comes at a crucial time in the Lyca Group 2021 strategy, as the firm enters its next stage of growth – developing its national network and expanding adjacent businesses to meet the evolving demands of our growing customer base.
Subaskaran Allirajah, Lyca Group Chairman, said: “I am delighted to have him on board as Group CEO. Since joining the business, he has made an immediate and impressive impact on the Group and the team.
“As we evolve our brand to reach new market segments; strong leadership and clarity of vision are key to success. I look forward to working with him as we lead Lyca Group through this exciting next stage of our journey.”
Narayan added: “I am extremely proud to have been offered the opportunity to set the course for Lyca Groups next stage of growth. At a time of global change and uncertainty, placing customers and digital capabilities at the centre of our business will undoubtedly support our growth ambitions.
“We have a tremendous leadership team and key global partners ready to take the business to the next level.
“I would like to thank them for their support and dedication as I step into my new role as Group CEO.”
