The major cryptocurrencies held steady over the last 24 hours with Ether performing best over the weekend into Monday morning.

Ethereum (ETH) improved from $2,660 on Friday morning to around $2,785 at 7am on Monday, a 4% rise from Sunday morning and 20% gain over seven days.

It set a record price of $4,300 just last month.

Ripple’s XRP coin remains below the $1 threshold, climbing 2% in 24 hours to reach 96 cents.

It is up 7% on last Monday morning but way back from its record valuation of $1.91, set a few weeks ago.

Bitcoin (BTC) is at $36,388 after a slight 24-hour improvement which puts it 6% higher than a week ago.

There was little change for Dogecoin (DOGE) in the last 24 hours. The coin created as a crypto parody and based on a meme is between 37 and 38 cents, just below Friday morning’s price but 27% in a week.
