One of the biggest names in video games has been confirmed as a speaker at our breakfast event on the sector.
Arthur Parsons is head of design at Warner Bros.-owned Traveller’s Tales and has worked on many major franchises over the last 19 years including Disney titles, the official Formula One games and Crash Bandicoot.
At Cheshire-based TT Games he has served as game director for a range of high-profile LEGO titles: Harry Potter: Years 1-4 (2010), Harry Potter: Years 5-7 (2011), Marvel Super Heroes (2013), Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (2014) and Marvel Avengers (2016).
“This event is getting bigger and bigger,” BusinessCloud editor Chris Maguire said. “The gaming sector is a hidden gem in the North West and it is time to shine a light on it.
“Our stellar panel of speakers shows the quality of the gaming talent in the region.”
Among the speakers are Paul Rustchynsky, game director for a new racing IP at legendary studio Codemasters, and Paul Gouge, who will lift the lid on the success of Playdemic’s smash hit mobile title Golf Clash.

Other confirmed speakers are Si Donbavand, development director at Fabrik Games; Cari Kirby, marketing manager, Team Cooper; Clayton Carpenter, programming supervisor, PlaygroundSquad; Annie O’Toole, head of operations, SwapBots; Simon Smith, development director at Desk Dragons Interactive; and Greg Robinson, advisor at Boomdash Digital and founder of Connect2Media.
Several indie studios will also be showing off their latest games, including Odd Bug Studios’ 2D platformer for PlaystationVR ‘The Lost Bear’.
BusinessCloud’s breakfast event will hear about the UK’s video games industry, where it is headed next and how games fit into a wider business and marketing context.
