SportTech

The 2022 Sports Technology Awards – dubbed ‘The Oscars of sports tech’ by The Daily Telegraph – are open for entries.

Past editions have celebrated the work of many of the leading brands in sport, such as F1, Tour de France, WWE, Star India, NBA, NFL, Manchester United, La Liga and The IPL.

They have also recognised the stellar tech brands which supply the industry – such as Intel, IBM, Amazon, Facebook, Sportradar, Sunset+Vine and Hawkeye – as well as the companies which support its players and athletes, including Puma, Asics, Wilson, GameReady, STATSports, Catapult, DNAFit and Opta.

The sector’s most exciting startups creating original tech – including companies to be revealed on BusinessCloud’s SportTech 50 ranking next week – are also highlighted.

Sports Technology Awards 2022

“The Awards have been at the forefront of sports technology for nearly a decade and the 2022 cycle looks set to be another great celebration,” said Rebecca Hopkins (pictured at top), CEO of awards organiser The STA Group.

“Once more we have an outstanding panel of international judges who do remarkable work assessing the entries. This year’s categories span the perennial favourites of fan engagement, broadcast and sports performance, as well as new subjects which reflect the ever-changing sports landscape, including sustainability, crypto and the female athlete.

“Competition between brands is always fierce and the work submitted is invariably world-class.”
