Ripple’s XRP coin is closing on a $1 valuation again following a second day of big gains.

XRP was at 81 cents as recently as Tuesday morning but, after adding 10% heading into Wednesday and another 11% in the last 24 hours, is at 98c at the time of writing (7am UK).

It has jumped 35% in a week.

Proof-of-Stake blockchain platform Cardano (ADA), which leapt 19% in value in the previous 24 hours, enjoyed a more modest gain of 1% to sit at $1.77. Its value has risen by 28% in the last seven days.

Bitcoin (BTC) remains above $45,000 following a 1% decrease. It is up 15% in a week.

Binance Coin (BNB) barely moved and remains around $385. It has gained 15% since last Thursday morning.

NFT specialist Ioconic raises £1.1m

Ethereum (ETH), the world’s second most valuable crypto, is around $3,100 after a 2% fall which leaves it 16% higher than its price seven days ago.

Meme coin Dogecoin (DOGE) gained 1% to sit at 27c and is 36% up over seven days.

The cryptocurrency market is now worth a collective $1.88 trillion, with the 11,200 coins losing around 0.6% in value in the last 24 hours.
