Dogecoin recorded a third straight day of fast growth as the cryptocurrency majors all gained in value in the last 24 hours.

At the time of writing (7am UK), Meme coin DOGE – which was created as a crypto parody – is up 17% to 27 cents, following on from an 8% rise in the previous 24-hour period and an 11% rise from Tuesday to Wednesday. Its seven-day price movement is down 10%.

Celo (CELO) was the only crypto to top DOGE’s gains among the top 100 coins, climbing 26% to $2.84. That puts it 3% up on this time last week.

Ripple’s XRP token is up 4% to almost 67 cents but remains 20% below its value last Friday morning.

Bitcoin (BTC) is closing on $35,000 again after a 5% rise, which puts it 8% down in a week.

Cardano (ADA), which recently topped the value of Coinbase but has since fallen behind by several billion dollars, is at $1.35 after a 4% rise. It is 8% below its value last Friday.

Ethereum (ETH) reached $1,965 after gaining 2% in 24 hours and is 16% down in a week.

The overall market cap of the approximate 10,500 coins is at $1.38 trillion, a 4% increase in 24 hours.

Klaytn (KLAY) dropped 16% to $1.03 while Internet Computer (ICP) shed 7% to $35.05, but any other dips among the top 100 coins were marginal.
